A Book Launch Event was held at Fazl Ali College,
Mokokchung on the 30th of March 2022 with Shri. Alemtemshi Jamir,
CEO, IDAN, Government of Nagaland gracing the occasion as the Special Guest.
The Book which was launched titled as “Political participation and
Political Attitude: A Study of Mokokchung District” is a comprehensive
book which elucidates on the nature of political participation of voters of
Mokokchung district. The author of the
book, Dr. E. Benrithung Patton is currently an Assistant Professor in the
Department of Political science, Fazl Ali College. He has several research
publications both in national and international peer reviewed journals. The current
book is an intensive research work done for the award of his Ph.D degree in
Political science.
The book launch program
was chaired by Dr. Elizabeth Imti, while Dr. Temjenwabang, Principal, FAC
delivered the welcome note and lauded the author for his immense contributions
in the field of academics inspite of the practical difficulties of managing
research work along with the assigned classroom duties. Dr. Abemo, Registrar,
Nagaland University gave a review of the book and positively commented that it
will serve as an important tool in educating people in the field of political
science. The book was formally launched by the Special Guest, Shri. Alemtemshi
Jamir who congratulated the author and shared his opinion that such books would
go a long way to help bring the required changes and reforms. The participants
of the program were entertained with a special song from Tiameren Jamir while
Rev. Prof. K. Dhanbir Rai, CTC, Aolijen pronounced the dedicatory prayer.
